Non-Surgical Treatments
Wigs and Hair Systems
HQ has a wide range of hair systems. Hair systems can be used to add volume to your hair or replace hair you have lost. Each model can be custom-crafted for individuals or purchased ready-made. Clients with unique skull shapes often prefer custom systems and are the most popular option.
We start our hair replacement systems with a mesh or a skin base. The hairs are then added either by hand or placed using a machine resulting in a very natural look. You will be very pleased by how accurate we can match the colour and texture of your existing hair.

Laser treatment
Laser Treatment uses medical-grade lasers to deliver safe and low levels of laser light to the scalp. The light is absorbed into the scalp and allows for an increase of microcirculation delivering a more rich blood supply and nutrients to the hair follicle.
One of the methods we advocate is the use of the iGrow home laser treatments which can be purchased at the clinic.
IGrow can be used in isolation or in combination with other hair restoration therapies. At HQ’s hair restoration clinic in Bedford, we use laser therapy mainly as an adjunct to our hair surgery procedures. It has been clinically tested and has passed FDA requirements.
IGrow has been developed to be used safely at home and is similar to the lasers used in clinics around the world. It uses lasers and LEDs developed specifically for Low Level Light therapy which has been shown to trigger cellular activity within follicles, thus increasing the potential for hair growth and restoration.

Micropigmentation
Our method is regarded as the best treatment of its kind in the world today.
Natural pigments are applied into the scalp using specialized equipment and needles. Micropigmentation can be used to cover the whole scalp, mask receding hairlines, hide scars and bald spots. Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) procedures have been meticulously developed and when these techniques are practiced by skilled professionals the results are an undetectable camouflage which completely disguises hair loss.
SMP should be a practical – technical and artistic procedure of reestablishing a hairline which may have receded, resulting in the appearance of increased density in places where hair is actually thinning.
In the event of scars which may exist as a result of previous hair transplant surgery experiences, SMP is also effective in disguising these.

Topical creams & medication
While the majority of our business centers around hair transplant surgery, we also offer non-surgical options to our clients. Often, creams, treatments and medications are offered as an adjunct to our surgical options, as it is important to preserve existing hair and to prevent further hair-loss.
Ross Treatment
The Ross treatments are offered at our clinic. This product comes from Quebec and has been around for three generations. It is mainly used to prevent further hair loss and to promote hair health.
Minoxidil (Rogaine®)
If you have started to lose your hair, you probably have researched Minoxidi already. Here at HQ, we mainly use it as an adjunct to our hair replacement surgery.
Minoxildil is a popular hair treatment option for both men and women. While it can be prescribed orally, it is most often applied topically. It is used for new hair growth and as a hair loss prevention method.

hair loss concealers
For clients that need a quick, non-permanent solution to cover their hair loss, we have a number of products and treatments available. Please note, that these products will have to be reapplied on a regular basis.
These naturally sourced and coloured products mask hair-loss by coating existing hair with a hair-thickening formula. This fine powder not only colours thin areas of your head but it also volumizes existing hair shafts.
These treatments work with any hairstyles (even bald scalps).
